Charger Storage

As you’ve noticed by now I have lots of gadgets, and that means lots of chargers and battery packs to keep them running.  But the counter near the outlet is always a mess, so something had to be done.  This storage solution is built from a solid block of walnut with a thin maple trim.  I got the dimensions of each piece and dropped them into my CAD software and after a bit of arranging, sent the design to start milling on the CNC.  The total time for cutting the 1.25″ deep recesses was about an hour.  Using a quick spray shellac finish, this project was ready to use in just a few hours.
